In the application for approval or registration of a feed manufacturing establishment, the applicant shall indicate, for feed materials and feed additives, the groups and species and, where appropriate, their trade names, for compound feed, the species of animals for which they are intended, information on the use of feed materials of animal origin, the method of testing new feed materials, information on veterinary medicinal products or intermediate products used.

Obligation on the importer to indicate in the Annex concerning feed information the types of feed products imported, and in the case of premixtures and compound feed, their composition and use, and, where appropriate, their trade name.

The operator of the feed business shall prove the efficiency of the mixing plant, as regards homogeneity, to the Central Inspection and Testing Institute for Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as 'the Institute') by a document containing the name and address of the plant, the type of mixing plant, the serial number and year of manufacture, and the name of the manufacturer of the mixing plant, the mixing time and speed of the mixing element and proof of homogeneity attached by the manufacturer of the mixing equipment as part of the technical documentation or a declaration by the operator that he has demonstrated the efficiency of the mixing equipment as regards homogeneity in accordance with Annex II, Plant and equipment, point 3. (b) of Regulation (EC) No 183/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 January 2005 laying down requirements for feed hygiene.
