A participant in the National Programme for the Conservation and Reproduction of the Gene Pool of Forest Tree Species is obliged to notify the authorised person (the National Forestry Institute) of any changes in the data concerning the genetic resources of forest tree species.

A participant in the National Programme for the Protection and Reproduction of the Gene Pool of Forest Tree Species is obliged to notify the authorised person (the National Forestry Institute) of a threat to the genetic resource of forest tree species.

Each participant in the National Programme for the Conservation and Reproduction of the Gene Pool of Forest Tree Species is obliged to keep ongoing documentation on the genetic resources of forest tree species included in the National Programme.

The supplier (licence holder) is obliged to notify the National Forestry Institute of the collection of seed material, the collection of plant parts or the collection of planting material from natural regeneration in the case of identified, selected, qualified or tested reproductive material, of the collection of plant parts in the case of subsequently vegetatively propagated selected, qualified or tested reproductive material and of the merging of reproductive material. Notification of the collection must be given at least 15 days before the collection is to take place.

Once the collection of reproductive material is completed, the supplier is obliged to submit an application for a certificate of origin to the National Forestry Institute (NLI) no later than 21 days after the end of the collection of seed material, removal of plant parts or collection of planting material from natural regeneration.
