An application for a permit for the management of surface water or groundwater which is required: a) if it is surface water and not for general management 1. for its abstraction, 2. for its recharge or accumulation, 3. for the exploitation of its energy potential, 4. for the use of these waters for the rearing of fish or aquatic poultry or other aquatic animals for the purpose of business, 5. for other management, b) in the case of groundwater 1. for its abstraction, 2. for its accumulation, 3. for its pumping for the purpose of lowering its level, 4. for the artificial enrichment of groundwater sources with surface water, 5. c. for the discharge of waste water into surface or groundwater, d. for the pumping of surface or groundwater and its subsequent discharge into such waters for the purpose of obtaining thermal energy, (e) the pumping of polluted groundwater for the purpose of reducing its pollution and its subsequent discharge, unless it is an activity carried out on the basis of a permit under the Mining, Explosives and State Mining Administration Act

The obligation of an authorised person who holds a water management permit pursuant to Section 8(1)(a)(1) or Section 8(1)(b)(1) in a total quantity of at least 1 000 m3 of water in a calendar year or 100 m3 of water in a calendar month, or who holds a water management permit pursuant to Section 8(1)(a)(5), Section 8(1)(b)(2) to (5) or Section 8(1)(b)(2) to (5), or Section 8(1)(b)(1)(b)(2) to (5), to dispose of water in a calendar year, to dispose of water in a calendar month, shall be subject to the following. (d), (e) or (f) in a total quantity of at least 6 000 m3 of water in a calendar year or 500 m3 of water in a calendar month, or who holds a permit for the management of water in a quantity of at least 6 000 m3 of water in a calendar year or 500 m3 of water in a calendar month which is a natural medicinal spring or a source of natural mineral waters or which is a reserved mineral, to measure the quantity of water which he manages and to transmit the results of such measurement to the relevant river basin district manager.

Obligation of the authorised person who has a permit for the discharge or accumulation of surface water and if the authorised volume of water discharged by the waterworks in the watercourse or water accumulated by the waterworks exceeds 1 000 000 m3, to measure the quantity of water discharged or accumulated and to submit data on this to the relevant river basin administrator.

Obligation of the acquirers of land or buildings, or their users, to whom the rights and obligations arising from a water management permit issued for the purpose of ownership of land or buildings are transferred, to notify the water authority that the land or building to which the water management permit is linked has been transferred or transferred within 2 months from the date of the transfer or transfer or the creation of rights to use it.

A water permit may be amended or revoked at the request of the authorised person to the water authority. Where a permit has been issued to another person, the applicant must provide evidence that he is the beneficiary of that permit.
