Obligation to apply to the Central Institute for Inspection and Testing in Agriculture for the newly established hop-growing area to be entered in the register within 30 days of planting. The application must include a copy of the cadastral map showing the area of the hop-growing area, the hop variety and the legal reason for use. The details of the application are laid down in Decree No 325/2004 Coll., implementing the Hop Protection Act.

Obligation on the producer to report to the Central Inspection and Testing Institute for Agriculture within 30 days of the change the change in the producer's details, the change in the condition of the hop-growing area, i.e. the cancellation of the hop-growing area, the grubbing-up of a crop or part of a crop in the hop-growing area, the leaving of a hop-growing area without production, the planting of a grubbed-up hop-growing area or the replanting of a hop-growing area which has been without production, the replanting of missing plants in the hop-growing area if more than 10 % of the original number of seedlings in the hop-growing area is replanted; the hop-growing area may be replanted with the same variety or clone, the origin of the seedlings to be replanted shall be documented by the producer with proof of the origin of the seedlings, and the change in the area of the hop-growing area.

The transfer of the hop-grower's register to another producer shall be decided by the Central Inspection and Examination Institute of Agriculture on application, the application for transfer being made by the person to whom the register is to be transferred.

After the harvest has been completed and all the hop packages have been labelled, the producer must draw up a declaration from the producer stating the number and weight of the labelled hop packages by cadastral area and hop variety. He shall forward this declaration, together with the unused labels, to the Central Inspection and Examination Institute for Agriculture without undue delay and no later than 30 November of the calendar year concerned.

Each producer is obliged to label each container of hops with a marking label; the labels are issued by the Central Institute for Agricultural Inspection and Testing on request.
